BALLINA SALMON FESTIVAL, MIDWEST RADIO AND CALLAN TANSEY SOLICITORS ANNOUNCE THE INAUGURAL ‘BEST OF BALLINA’ AWARDS 2024
Ballina is such a good news story! From fishing to festivals and from history to culture the town is bursting with enthusiasm and culture – driven by people and organisations who are passionate about their town.
Ballina is home to a multitude of local characters, historians, sporting hero’s, volunteers, and activists. With so many organisations and voluntary groups doing their work quietly and effectively Ballina is a great place to live, socialise and experience. The River Moy may be one of the jewels in the crown but the greatest jewel of all are the ordinary people and organisations who have done extraordinary things to make Ballina simply the BEST!
As part of the Ballina Salmon Festival 2024, Ballina Chamber, Callan Tansey Solicitors and Midwest Radio – Ireland’s most popular Radio Station – have come together to present the inaugural ‘BEST OF BALLINA’ Awards night in the Great National Hotel, Ballina on Tuesday July 9th between 8 and 10 pm. The ceremony will be broadcast live on Midwest Radio and nominations are now open.
What organisations or individuals in Ballina do you believe deserve to be honoured? Who has gone above and beyond the ‘call of duty’ to enhance the town? Who deserves to be publically acknowledged for their efforts and why? We’re asking the people of Ballina to nominate who you believe deserves recognition for what they have done or achieved for the town of Ballina.

A judging panel will select 10 recipients from all of the entries
The list of BEST OF BALLINA Award winners will be announced on the Tommy Marren Show on Friday May 31sst 2024 at 10.15 am.
The 10 winners will be honoured at a Special Awards Ceremony on Tuesday July 9th in the Great National Hotel, Ballina at 8 pm – supported by Ballina Chamber of Commerce and Callan Tansey Solicitors.
