Top Ten Mayo Manchester Tradfest events to look forward to
Newly appointed Minister for Regional Development, Michael Ring TD recently kick started the countdown to the forthcoming week long Mayo Manchester Tradfest based in Ballina beginning Friday 29 July.
With over 70 events in and around Ballina featuring over 500 performers the festival of Traditional Irish Music, Song and Dance is set to attract over 50 ,000 visitor to Mayo North
The Top ten official events are as follows:
- Friday 29 July
VIP Mayo Manchester launch party and 2 hour live Radio broadcast by Midwest Radio in Bar Square on Garden St, Ballina. 6pm-8pm, Adm free
- Saturday 30 July
Mayo Manchester Gala Concert -Mayo Manchester Tradfest Gala Concert at Ballina Arts Centre
Performers from Mayo include: The award winning musicians Tom Doherty and David Doocey with the CCE Admiral Brown group from Foxford, The Murphy Sisters, Irish dancers The Ganley Sisters, musicians, singers and dancers from Atlantic Rhythm Production Company, The Heroes for Hospice group and acoustic singer songwriter and Brian Duffy.
Performers from Manchester include: The Keegan Academy of Irish Dance who are trained by Lord of the Dance star, James Keegan and his sister Louise plus The Fianna Phadraig Pipe Band.

Country Cottage Concert with Mayo Manchester (with Joe Keegan from BBC TV show, The Voice plus the Fianna Phadraig Pipe Band, the Keegan Academy of Irish Dance) and Irish dancers, musicians and singers from Atlantic Rhythm Production Company. Plus open seisun.
